Introduction
Owner Charlotte Porter love for beauty & fashion goes back to when she was a young girl growing up in St. Louis, Missouri.
She would watch her mom makeup her face, and sometimes dye her hair into different shades of blonde.
Charlotte’s mom always told her to "Never leave the house without looking your best.â€
“You never know who you may run into.â€
Charlotte then started to buy her own color eyeliner, lipstick, and eyeshadow palettes in her late teens, and soon followed was her experimenting with foundation colors. She would wear the different brands of Fashion Fair, MAC, and Loreal.
After continuous wear of products, she could never find the exact shade that would complement her skin tone.
It would always end up looking too dark or too light.
One day in March of 2018 Charlotte had a vision creating a brand of her own makeup products.
Charlotte received her MBA from Lindenwood University and used her experience to start her first cosmetic company, Bellalxxi Lip Art.
She began creating the lipstick from natural raw materials in her kitchen, and even though it was time consuming, she was successful selling her lipsticks to friends and family.
Charlotte life began to get busy working a full-time job and then coming home in the evening to work on her business.
The best decision at that time was to stop making lipsticks, but her passion for makeup never left, and she was always thinking about expanding her cosmetic business.
With a passion for helping women look and feel good about themselves, Charlotte started Inky Beauty Cosmetics in August of 2019.
