Mary Kay started her cosmetic company in 1963 with a wing and a prayer. She was a phenominal woman who lived her dream. She started with a few pots of product, a few hundred dollars, her son's help and belief in herself. It was that belief that made Mary Kay Ash one of the most powerful women in history. She was truly an inspiration. Her favorite saying came from her mother, "you can do it" and she lived that everyday of her life. From cosmetics to cosmetics and wigs and back to cosmetics again she was an entrepreneur destined to greatness. Her legacy lives on, today. Mary Kay, Inc. is involved in many different types of charities but one of my favorites is their fight against cancer. Many of their products are recommended by the cancer society because of their high SPF factors. As a cancer survivor, I wear them as well.
