Introduction
Industrial Vibration Consultants was founded in 1984 by Jeffrey Epperson. Jeff worked in the family business located in Middletown, OH providing service to and manufacturing equipment for the pulp and paper industry. After researching balancing equipment for use in their shop, Jeff was introduced to some of the first portable vibration analysis equipment by IRD Mechanalysis. Seeing an opportunity to be able to collect data and provide reports to the pulp and paper industry in a timely manner, he realized what a great value and service to their customers this would be. Industrial Vibration Consultants, Inc. was incorporated in 1985 and after a successful 18 months in business, Jeff decided to expand IVC in the Northeast by forming a partnership with Michael G. Hogan. Mike owned M.G. Hogan, Inc. providing service & sales to the pulp and paper industry.
