Introduction
The Occupational Safety & Health Division (OSHD) under the Enforcement and Consultation Department of the Ministry of Human Resources Malaysia has been appointed as the National Body for Malaysia to be responsible for managing and coordinating the Malaysian participation in ISO 45001:2018 (OHSMS). The first edition of OHSMS-Malaysia, published in 2004, was based on BS 8800:1998.The second edition of OHSMS-Malaysia, published in 2006, was based on BS 8800:2005 and revised to be aligned with the international standard ISO 14001:2004. The third edition of OHSMS-Malaysia, published in 2009, was based on BS 8800:2007 and revised to be aligned with the international standard ISO 14001:2004.
