Introduction
Newborns are newborns for what seems like a second, and capturing the first magical moments of your newborns life is irreplaceable. You wait months for your little bundle of joy to arrive, so once they're here, treasure every moment. Your baby will rapidly change every single day, which is why it's so important to capture them as they will change right before your eyes. That is why l love to capture all it is that makes them newborns, those wrinkles and rolls, eyelashes, fingers and toes, hair, nose, ears and squidgy lips, all the things you so easily forget as they grow. So celebrate the birth of your baby with a memorable experience of your baby’s first professional photographs - You won't regret it.
It is because they change so fast that newborns are best photographed within the first two weeks of birth, baby remains sleepy and flexible at this age due to still being used to the foetal position from being inside mums tummy, allowing me to pose them. Much past 2 weeks, baby wakes more easily while being posed, and also likes to control their own body, i.e stretching out.
As you can imagine, slow and careful is the order of the day, we can at baby's pace, and allow plenty of time for feeding sessions and rocking back to sleep, which all leads up to your session taking up to four hours. So bring lots of milk, wipes and patience and you will be rewarded with the most beautiful memories of this very special time in your lives. Four hours is nothing when it will create images of your bundle that go beyond just a portrait.
Your session should ideally be booked in advance, usually around 7 months of pregnancy, and the photoshoot date is provisionally scheduled in for one week after your due date. However, if your baby is early or late, dates can be flexible, and we can make practical arrangements when they enter the world. Deposit is payable on date of booking. The photoshoot will take place in my studio where I can easily control temperature, lighting and safety issues and also have access to various props and backgrounds.
I do ask for a non refundable retainer of only £100, this will guarantee that no one else books me on your chosen date (I only schedule one newborn in per day so there's no pressure on time). The remaining payment can be paid off at any point between day of booking and the day of the photoshoot. Please be aware that the deposit is a non-refundable retainer and the deposit payment is legally a non-refundable retainer payment as renumeration for other work that is lost as a result of the retained date. In the very unlikely event I have to cancel, I will pay you back the deposit in full. I have up to the agreed photoshoot date to refund you.
Your finished photo's will be ready to view within 3 weeks of the session. However, a small selection will be uploaded to my Facebook page within a few days for a sneaky peak as I'm sure you'll be keen to see them and share with friends and family.
