Introduction
Based in the heart of north west England, I'm an experienced genealogist, oral historian, historical researcher and heritage creative practitioner. With over twenty years' experience as a genealogist, I'm ideally placed to carry out research into your family within the historic counties of Lancashire, Westmorland and Cumberland.
I currently administer oral history projects in Lancashire and the Lake District for the Woodland Trust and the National Trust, and carry out interviews for Ambleside Oral History Group. I also interview people for family memories. Oral histories are a wonderful way to record the histories of loved ones.
My historical research projects have included the Industrial Revolution in the Scottish Borders and the Woods farming family of Haslingden, Lancashire. I can investigate houses, buildings, hamlets, local areas for all kinds of purposes.
In addition to research, I've written scripts for augmented realities, given talks and presentations and am excited about what I can do for you!
