Happy Swan Express Chinese Takeaway

This chinese takeaway is just down the road from me and I can honestly say this is the best chinese takeaway in south croydon. I obviously can't speak for those who have written bad reviews but the food and service has always been excellent, far better than any other chinese in the area.

Only ordered 2 things and you still managed to forget one of them and when I went back to tell them they just denied it. Robbed of my money!

Have been eating from the Happy Swan for over 5 years. Excellent food and so agrees everyone that's come over for a takeaway. Always hot, always friendly.

I ordered a chinese from the Happy Swan Express as a birthday treat and was absolutley disgusted with both the food and the service. The food arrived and they had forgotton the drink - this wasn't a big deal and we still tipped them. When we opened the food, the sauce on the chicken satay looked very thick and quite frankly digusting. I then opened my chicken dish to find the chicken looked uncooked - i cut open the chicken and found it was red and bloody! It was raw.It is unfortunate that you cannot add a picture to this review because the photo of this raw chicken would leave people wondering how the Happy Swan are in business when they are serving food that is not fit for consumption. We called the chinese and asked for our money back to be met with a very rude attitude. The manager called us back and was extremley rude, arguing that there was nothing wrong and even laughing and calling my husband a joke! We eventually got the money back but the evening had been spoiled by the terrible food and service from this chinese take away.

Been using Happy Swan for nearly 18 years! Hasn't failed me yet - always excellent food and service.

Good value for money and good food. Service on weekends including Friday can sometimes be a little slow but on a weekday service is exceptionally fast.
Worth it! I buy my chinese food from here everytime. You get more from you money than some other local take aways
