Happy Inn Restaurant

Went here on Sunday to celebrate my husbands birthday. Very friendly greeting and pleasant staff. Food was all freshly prepared, and regularly replenished. Absolutely delicious! We will be back

This is a restaurant I visit regularly with my husband. Upstairs and left of the Wing Yip centre, Purley Way (NOT in or above the tai Tung restaurant), plenty of parking. It is good and reliable, and the food (chinese and vietnamese) is always excellent! Their buffet covers all sorts of delicious items which I enjoy - last time we went, we had sweetcorn soup, aromatic crispy duck (with hoi sin sauce, pancakes, etc), lamb in pepper sauce, cooked mushrooms, beef in black bean, fried squid, fab tasty sweet chicken in mild satay, egg fried rice is superb, singapore noodles, tons of variety. I do not understand it but the restaurant is always quiet when we go (early evening) and I have never had to wait for a table. Quality like this, the place should be heaving with people.

Beware of this restaurant it is dreadful we went for a family meal with our kids to the buffet and we only managed to eat one side plate of food kids were bloated after their starters and became awfully tired and bloated it was a very strange feeling that we still felt Hungary but so bloated we couldn't move the meal cost us £69 for the buffet plus a round of soft drinks for 2 adults and 2 children. Woke up in the middle of the night with stomach cramps and heart burn my wife feeling giddy and sick and we were soo Hungry for breakfast we had a fry up and cereal.
They use loads of sodium glutamate to the point were it's not funny

I have attended the Happy Inn Restaurant last week, it was great, the reception that I received was very friendly and welcoming, food was nice and a good variety to choose from, Recommended place to eat.

Dear Sir,

My wife and I are planning a family meal for approximately 20 people on Thursday 30th July 2009. We live in the West Midlands and our son is getting married that weekend in Oxted, so any arrangement have to be by telephone or email. We are interested in a buffet style so that people can choose the dishes they like.

Do you have any special offers we can take advantage of that evening?
