We have 19 housekeeping cabins on the lake that are clean, modern, and can accommodate group sizes ranging from small families to large reunions. Spacious grounds feature beautifully manicured gardens, creating the perfect setting for your family to reconnect and unwind from the hustle of everyday life. The lodge at Half Moon Trail is a hub of activity that hosts everything from free morning coffee, ping pong, weekly massages, or a malt at our old fashioned ice cream counter.
The resort is nestled among mature oaks and pines on the shores of Boot Lake, one of the clearest in Minnesota. The lakes relatively undeveloped shoreline offers great fishing and paddling opportunities, and is ideal for water sports. Our large sand beach offers a perfect spot to relax and soak up the rays while the kids build a sand castle. The beach is secluded, flat, and is surrounded by gardens making it one of the popular spots on a hot summer day.
The Park Rapids area comes alive in the summer months with many coming to enjoy one of Minnesota?s best lake areas. There are many great golf courses, along with shopping and dining opportunities, to compliment a summer lake vacation. Itasca State Park, home of the headwaters of the mighty Mississippi river, is a short drive from our Park Rapids Resort. Here you will find 16 miles of paved bike trails along with many hiking trails for the outdoor enthusiast in your family.
