Introduction
Preclinical allergic asthma models can be induced by different allergens, e.g. ovalbumin (OVA), house dust mite (HDM), and cockroach allergen (CRA). Allergic asthma has been developed in rhesus or cynomolgus monkeys using important human allergens, including house dust mite and the birch pollen allergens, Bet V1 and V2.
