Unlike most dental practices, Dr. Schmidt offers advanced services that many general providers refer to specialists. Dr. Joe Schmidt was born and raised in Lewiston, Idaho. From an early age, it was Dr. Schmidt’s dream to pursue a career in dentistry to serve his friends and those in his community.

After a brief collegiate baseball career, Dr. Schmidt returned to Lewiston to earn his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Lewis-Clark State College. During this time, Dr. Schmidt also worked with a fishing guide focusing on steelhead and sturgeon on Idaho’s Salmon, Snake and Clearwater Rivers.

Dr. Schmidt went on to receive his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Creighton University, in Omaha, Nebraska. Following dental school, Dr. Schmidt has worked in various locations .

When not in the office, Dr. Schmidt can likely be found in the foothills around Boise mountain biking, in one of the local rivers casting a fly, or having fun with his newborn son Miles.

Beyond outdoor pursuits, Dr. Schmidt’s passion for dentistry is evident in his commitment to ongoing continuing education and offering the best and latest techniques for his patients. Dr. Schmidt is a member of the American Dental Association, Idaho State Dental Association, and Oregon Dental Association.
