Giants’ Table and Cottages offers comfortable self-contained cottage accommodation in the little mountain town of Maydena, situated in the beautiful Derwent Valley region of South West Tasmania.
We are proudly family owned and operated and are famous for our comfortable beds, cosy atmosphere and delicious food.
This is the ideal point for your stopover between Strahan and Hobart, we have 8 cottages available – including 2 spa suites and an excellent restaurant open in the summer only.
We are situated on the edge of the South West World Heritage Area, ten minutes drive from Mount Field National Park with its wonderful Russell Falls and close to the entrance to the Styx Valley of the Giants (hence our name), yet still only just over an hour from Hobart.
Experience the lush temperate rainforest, spectacular mountains, the tallest trees in the world, untouched wilderness and an array of fantastic wildlife right on the doorstep.
