Introduction
In 1997, Dr. Gallaher served as the Director of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery with North Texas Affiliated Medical Group in Forth Worth. Five years later, Dr. Gallaher returned to his home state, establishing his practice in Knoxville, Tenn. Since that time, Dr. Gallaher has dedicated his practice to reconstructive surgery of the breast as well as cosmetic surgery, including procedures of the face, breast and body. Dr. Gallaher is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the Southeastern Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons and the American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery.

Tom Gallaher, MD

Dr. Gallaher is married to Caren E. Gallaher, MD, FACS. Dr. Caren Gallaher is a breast specialty surgeon. They have three children, son Peyton, and daughters Aidyn, and Eliza. Dr. Gallaher enjoys hunting, fishing, horseback riding and, first and foremost, spending time with his family.

Some people are lucky enough to get a glimpse as children into their future professions. A thirst for knowing how machines work might cause a little boy to become an engineer. A small girl standing up for others on the playground may one day become a police officer. For Dr. Gallaher, he was bitten at an early age – Literally! After being bitten in the face by a family dog, Dr. Gallaher saw firsthand how plastic surgeons can change major trauma into barely noticeable scars; thus, Dr. Gallaher knew his future: to become a plastic and reconstructive surgeon.
Now, several years later, his appreciation for the profession and his sensitivity toward patients have made him an excellent and compassionate surgeon. See for yourself.
