Introduction
Gibson Kochanek Studio was set by two award-winning photographers based in Birmingham. Over the past 5 years, both Photographers have built a good reputation and a strong relationship with their clients. They finally decided to merge their businesses and carry on as a team.
Having strong background and experience they provide their clients with professional service and confidentiality that they will be captured in their daily environment or within a studio space in a sensitive and efficient manner.
Marta Kochanek is a Portrait Photographer. Photography was always the hugest passion of hers. As she follows it, Marta was offered to spearhead a large, independent archival project for Annie Leibovitz in New York in 2011. She then joined Production Team and assisted the Photographer on sets for Vogue and Vanity Fair. Her photographs have been shown several times in both group and solo exhibitions, including Mall Galleries in London, Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, mac Birmingham as well as Verge Art Brooklyn and Leslie and Lohman Museum in New York. In 2012 Marta was invited to join Daegu Biennial in South Korea.
Barbara Gibson is a Photographer and Photo-Researcher who mainly concentrate on Urban Photography. Ever since she remembers other cultures and countries fascinated her. She travels across the world capturing unique places with and empathy to photograph people. Long-term trips to San Francisco, Los Angeles, Mexico, Bolivia, Guatemala, Caribbean Islands and most of European countries came out of curiosity and an endless need to photograph.
