Introduction
At GA Newton Stone, we've been hand designing and carving memorials in stone and wood for almost 20 years. All design, masonry, carving and installation is carried out in-house, ensuring that every commission is unique. Our team share the work between them, drawing on their backgrounds in fine art and design respectively, to produce beautifully-crafted, individual pieces. Our team are all qualified stone masons, and in addition to their memorial work are involved in the repair and conservation of historic buildings. This naturally influences their memorial designs, which have a distinct architectural feel, and often include Romanesque decoration and embellishment. We work throughout the South East and London. Each memorial is designed and carved by hand, using traditional tools and we work with a wide variety of materials, including stone, marble and wood.
