Introduction
Literary Translation from French to English. Because I speak and write French fluently, I can express the true meaning of phrases. But because I'm a native English speaker, my translations don't read like translations!
As a writer-for-hire in English: book synopses and jacket blurbs, author or artist profiles, biographies, magazine articles. A long-time writer myself, I understand the "nuts and bolts" of writing, like structure, plot, characterization, POV, etc.
I write and update web-site content, and create websites from scratch. I do ghost-writing, copy-writing, editing, revising and proof-reading as well. I have experience in writing marketing material, such as press releases and ads.
I'm also a trained journalist, and have worked as writer, city editor and features editor for many different magazines and newspapers. I respect deadlines and adapt my writing to match the tone of a given medium. I've published over 160 articles.
