Finland Eye Center (FEC) is the largest private eye care hospital center in the Sultanate Oman gives world-class quality eye care services from eye tests to full range of eye surgeries to clients.
We provide all-round ophthalmic care under one roof; from glass and contact lens prescriptions to comprehensive eye examinations as well as a full range of surgical and non-surgical treatment and management options with post-operative care and follow-up, including an optical shop within the center.

Dr. Liisa Laakso
Consultant Ophthalmologist /Ophthalmic Surgeon /Medical Director /Founder
Dr. LiisaLaakso graduated as a Medical Doctor in 1984 and specialized in Ophthalmology in 1991 from University of Tampere, Finland with a special interest in refractive and cataract surgeries. Dr. Liisa is highly experienced in using the latest technologies including the most modern excimer and femtosecond lasers and the most advanced phacoemulsification techniques for cataract surgeries."Especially close to her heart these days are cataract surgeries and presbyopia treatments using an array of multifocal IOLs such as the latest trifocal lenses."
Dr. Liisa is highly respected and trusted as a professional in her field as evidenced by the fact that amongst the thousands of patients she has operated are family members as well as revered colleagues. To keep up-to-date with the newest developments in her field she is a member of ESCRS (The European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons).
Dr. Liisa has been serving patients in Oman with compassion, respect and professionalism since 2000, starting at Al Shatti Hospital until opening Finland Eye Center. She is devoted and passionate about giving her patients the best care and attention.

He is the founder of FEC.
Graduated in 1990 from Florence, Italy as a doctor of optometry. He has been involved in eye corrective surgeries since 2001 participating in preoperative examinations and post-operative follow-ups. He counsels patients about vision correction options and is recognized by the ophthalmologists for his remarkable skills in eye testing techniques and hard contact lens fitting.
