Strategically placed, Malta’s eyewear is heavily influenced by Italy, its neighboring country and home to high-end designer eyewear and the very latest in eye care technology.
The key founders are two family-owned optical groups, formed in 1948 and 1965 and remain Malta’s largest manufacturer and distributor for global brands in frames, sunglasses and contact lenses. The first Vision optical outlet was established in 1990 with a high-end store in the south of Malta.
