Our master scissorsmiths sharpen all hair cutting scissors, using Japanese hand sharpening techniques and the most advanced high precision equipment in the world; which is the same machinery used in Japanese factories to finish brand new two piece hairdressing scissors.

We sharpen both the inside (using Japanese wet stones) and the outside of the scissor blades; this technique is used in Japanese scissor making factories because it produces perfect razor sharp edges, ensures that the scissors feel smooth and it greatly increases the life span.

We take hair cutting scissors apart, which is an integral part of servicing high quality scissors. Many sharpeners do not do this because of the time involved (time is money), incorrect machinery or they are not knowledgeable enough to service scissors correctly.

Our extensive scissor service and highly skilled hand sharpening techniques will reconstruct your quality scissors to as new performance and in many cases scissors perform better than when first purchased. We remove the absolute minimal amount of steel during our sharpening process to create a long lasting edge and increase the life of scissors.

Our 16 step process is fantastic value, your newly serviced scissors will last around 6 months (approximately 700 haircuts), therefore our professional sharpening service equates to as little as 8p a day.
