About Dr. Patti Gonzalez
Dr. Patti Gonzalez is a 2005 graduate of Life Chiropractic College West and practiced in the Bay Area, starting in October of 2005. She relocated to the Denver area in January of 2011 and has just opened a new location in the south Denver area! Her specialty is working with families and children to help them create true health in their lives. She helps patients understand they have an amazing healing power inside that heals them from the inside out.
In 1999, she graduated with honors from Chico State University with a Bachelors of Science in Exercise Physiology. Throughout her schooling, Dr. Patti worked with many athletic teams as an assistant in the training room where she supported the football, basketball, and volleyball teams. She has been an active participant in sports all her life and knows the joys and challenges of training, injuries, and rehabilitation. She had the honor to be the onsite chiropractor at the 2008 Nationwide Tournament at Stonebrae Country Club, where she worked with the golfers to make sure they were in top condition to compete in the tournament. In 2012 she attended the Summer Olympic games in London assisting the weightlifting, Judo and Wrestling teams. Six medals were won by athletes including 3 gold and 3 bronze and the first ever GOLD medal in USA Judo.
She’s volunteered her time by going on a mission trip to Nicaragua in 2003, where along with 40 other doctors and students, served in adjusting over 20,000 people. In June of 2009, she went to Ghana, Africa where she helped Aid for AIDS Africa in educating locals about health and providing chiropractic care to over 5,000 people. She looks forward to returning to Ghana to serve alongside Meaningful Life International in their work in the rural villages. On a local level, she is active in her community doing health talks for various groups, including Heather Garden’s, Excelsior, CASA, mom’s groups, LaLeche League, churches, and many other organizations.
Her passion for children and families led her to become a certified birth doula through DONA International in 2006. It provided great joy to assist 25 mothers in their births and give the babies their first chiropractic adjustment and watch them thrive. She now incorporated her training into her chiropractic practice to help empower mothers in their births and in motherhood.
From April 2007 to March 2010, Dr. Patti was a part time faculty member at her Alma Mater, Life Chiropractic College West, and she found being part of the education community and giving back to the students to be an enriching experience. She taught classes in gross and spinal anatomy, chiropractic philosophy, and exercise physiotherapy.
Dr. Patti enjoys spending time with her husband, Javier, in the mountains hiking, mountain biking and camping. They also love traveling and exploring the great state of Colorado along with their two chocolate labs.
