Introduction
El Pirata Detapas offers mouth-watering, flavour-packed Spanish cuisine with a great selection of traditional and contemporary tapas dishes to choose from and a well-crafted a la carte menu.
El Pirata in W2 draws its inspiration from the ever-popular El Pirata in Mayfair, established more than 15 years ago, and a favourite must-visit venue for Spanish tapas enthusiasts.
El Pirata Detapas wowed television audiences recently when it featured as one of the Spanish finalists in the Channel Four hit TV series 'Ramsay's Best restaurants 2010'.
In 'Ramsay's Best Restaurants' El Pirata Detapas only narrowly missed out on a semi-final place, preparing some incredible cuisine throughout the competition, including an outstanding dish of pigs trotters, foie gras and jammon wellington with fig purée, braised pig tongues and cheeks.
In the two years since it opened El Pirata Detapas has become a must-try restaurant in London's emerging Iberian scene, know for its unique blend of classic Spanish dishes and innovative and unusual dishes such as Endive with Valdeón Cheese Foam and Walnuts, Black Rice with Squid and Black Ailoi and Seared Scallops with Clementine and Cauliflower Purée. With an extensive all-Spanish wine list, El Pirata is a truly authentic taste of Spain in the heart of Notting Hill.
