A Brief History
Initially started nearly 40 years ago as a sole trading company John concentrated on the agricultural and quarry industry carrying out installation and maintenance of electrical equipment plant.
This work involved design and installation of motor control panels for grain handling, milling and mixing effluent handling systems.
Over the years this included working with FARMEX and Big Dutchman amongst others to supply and install ventilation systems for pig and poultry buildings.
Now working in the pig sector also includes installation and maintenance of MEYER LOHNE computerised controlled feeding systems. Installations including tanks, pumps, pipe systems and all electrical controls for the buildings.
Grain storage has undergone a lot of changes over the years new grain stores are a lot bigger and with less grain handling equipment. The older systems still require maintenance and upgrading from time to time and improvements to automation of the systems.
Pumps are supplied for a range of systems including bore holes, pressurisation system, water harvesting applications as well as slurry and other effluent handling.
These pumps require repairs and rebuilding on occasion and these repairs are carried out in or own workshops.
One recent installation comprised of four 8 inch pumps staged operation with ultrasonic controls to maintain the water level in a marina with a 5 metre tide on the estuary outside the marina.
Design and manufacture special stainless steel power distribution pillars, a fish quay and complete the electrical installation.
Other installations for the design and installation of lighting and power in cattle finishing yards and dairies.
Another area which we are starting to expand into is the marina sector providing power and water for the berth and associated services and service buildings.
With a fully equipped workshop we undertake most of the fabrication works we require as well as facilities to strip and rebuild pumps and motors.
We regularly build control panels from scratch at short notice for control of one to forty motors.
We manufacture and modify switch gear as required and assemble switch boards and special change over panels.
Always ready to assist fellow contractors with resolving problems.
We try to provide cost effective practical solutions to all our clients large and small with the view providing products and installations that will serve its purpose for many years.
