History
Since 1999 EKOPANELY CZ s.r.o. has been a manufacturer of ekopanels, the only company of its kind in Europe. The heart of the business are the one-of-a-kind manufacturing technologies developed by Ing. Jan Bareš and his colleagues from EKOPANELY SERVIS s.r.o. In the short time since the beginnings of the manufacture of modern construction elements, of which the ekopanel is an indisputable example, the company has succeeded in entering into broader public awareness and has won over experts at home and abroad to the quality of the ekopanel. That annual production consists of over 100,000 m2 intended for Czech and foreign markets alone confirms this statement. Unlike the production of other panelling materials, no toxic waste is generated from the production of ekopanels. It has a low energy demand and does not require additional chemical substances.

A foundation for passive wooden buildings, low energy wooden buildings, and zero energy homes
These ekopanels (formerly Ekodesky Stramit, houses made of straw) are most often used for panelling low energy wooden buildings, passive wooden buildings, zero-energy homes and appeal primarily to the ecologically and economically conscious investor. Even with zero-energy homes they can be seen in use as partitions, ceilings, and more. The speed of construction of a wood structure is significantly faster in comparison to construction using traditional materials (such as brick or concrete).The price for ekopanels is also very appealing. The leading features of ekopanels primarily include their thermal capacity, which significantly reduces heating costs; for this reason ekopanels (ekodesky) are appropriate for the construction primarily of energy efficient homes.
