Introduction
Fully qualified and insured accountant (ACIS, FFA, FIAB) serving the small business and self employed for over 14 years.
Self assessment can be a time consuming and often confusing business for busy individuals taking time from their main business. I aim to relieve you of this pressure at minimal cost to you.
In 2012 HMRC received a bonus of almost £1 billion from people and busineses who had not filed their return in time.
This is more than many large companies avoid using costly accountants.
I offer a free half hour consultancy to assess you requirements and give you an estimate based on the information given (This will be much lower than the potential fines you face for late or inaccurate returns)
You will be advised which records to keep (HMRC now requires that adequate records are kept, distinguishing at least sales and expenses)
Your S/A will be completed using these figures, discussed with you, and filed,
You will be advised of any tax liabilities arising, and when payment is due.
Although payment of tax is not due until 31st January each year, it is in your interest to have your S/A completed as soon as possible after you receive it each year, as this allows you to be aware of any tax liabliity arising and lay money aside for it. (There is no need to file the return or make payment at this point.
This is also essential for those working under CIS who will most certainly have a tax rebate due, as this can be filed early to get the rebate earlier.
