Introduction
You will find our restaurant above our store on Morehampton Road, a quiet haven tucked away from the bustle of Donnybrook Village. The Restaurant opened in Feb 2005. Restaurant head chef Ben Anderson is leading his team to bring DF's Ethos of 'devoted to Foodâ? alive, by offering one of the finest Menus at exceptional value.
The Menus are based on simplicity, seasonality and sourcing excellent quality Irish ingredients. The 100 seater restaurant is open 7 days a week for breakfast lunch and dinner. With an outside terrace and adjoining function room the Restaurant acts as a venue for a wide variety of events & social gatherings.
Ben Anderson - Restaurant Head Chef & Company Executive Chef
Ben took up the position as Head Chef in our Restaurant in early 2009. Ben brings a wealth of experience to the restaurant having trained in the U.K for 3 years under the Roux Brothers.
The Roux Brothers are regarded as the godfathers of modern day restaurant cuisine they have received 3 Michelin Stars. Ben's most recent position before joining DF was with the famous chef Heston Blumenthal of the Fat Duck Restaurant who also has received 3 Michelin Stars.
Since Ben has joined the company he has produced menus that are based on good quality seasonal food to create simple flavoursome dishes. As executive chef he also works to produce products which are available to buy in our stores.
