Introduction
Dokter Irene heeft haar Master of Medical Science afgerond aan de Universiteit Maastricht. Naast haar studie heeft zij zich altijd ingezet voor patiëntgerichte zorg tijdens simulatiepatiëntencontact, ook heeft zij lange tijd als simulatiepatiënt opgetreden.
Tijdens haar studie heeft zij diverse stages gelopen in de specialisaties snijden, hartchirurgie en later in de plastische en reconstructieve chirurgie in het Catharina Ziekenhuis in Eindhoven. Hier heeft zij vele chirurgische behandelingen uitgevoerd en een studie voor handchirurgie opgezet.
