Dentist Petaluma

Patients who visit Dental Care and Wellness of Sonoma reap the benefits of our inviting, earthy atmosphere and use of proven stress-relievers such as dark glasses during treatments, which minimize the impact of bright lights. Nerves may be calmed with the use of naturopathic de-stress tablets and crystals. To conclude treatments, we offer warm disposable towels infused with essential oils.
We are constantly educating ourselves in new remedies and treatments from the naturopathic world. Dr. Smida has completed advanced courses in Restorative and Esthetic Dentistry. She has also received her medical degree as an Integrative and Biological physician and a naturopathic medical doctor, she subscribes to a specific set of principles:

Harness the healing power of nature, understanding that within the body is the inherent capability to self-heal.
Identify the cause of disease and treat that, rather than treating symptoms.
First do no harm, the hippocratic oath. Using the least toxic, least invasive therapies, we promote health and wellness for our patients.
The doctor is really a teacher. Our role is to empower you in your quest for optimal wellness.
Strive for whole-body enhancement; mind, body, and spirit.
Prevention is the best medicine.

We are proud to be a mercury-safe practice in which patients with existing amalgam fillings have options for safe, efficient removal. In all preventive, restorative, and cosmetic treatments, importance is placed on the proper use of the least toxic materials. This means a strict avoidance of metal in general, not just amalgam.
A member of the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology, the International Academy of Biological Dentistry and Medicine, Holistic Dental Academy, and other biological societies, Dr. Smida wants the best for your smile and she has the skills to carry out treatments using the highest quality non-toxic materials and remedies available today.
