I grew up in Springfield, Missouri. I spent most of my time in high school studying or debating. This is when I decided that I wanted to pursue law. After high school, I moved to Columbia, Missouri to attend the University of Missouri. While there, I received a degree in political science and debated for a nationally recognized and highly competitive debate program.



Following my time in Columbia, I went to the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law. I was fortunate enough to learn about estate planning and probate through a program at UMKC that assisted people in the community with free legal representation. It was there that I decided to pursue a career in helping others with estate planning and probate administration.



During law school I volunteered with the Missouri Public Defender's Appellate Office and for Debate Kansas City, a program designed and dedicated to help teach debate to urban middle and high schools.
