Introduction
I believe that family is a sacred institution and should be private. Our civil court system was designed to resolve contract disputes and injuries. It is ill-suited to adequately resolve disputes between members of families. Divorce and custody cases increase family drama and do this is a public forum. Unfortunately, when the only tool is a hammer every problem begins to look like a nail. Whether I am helping a divorcing couple through mediation, or advocating for a party in family court, my approach is finding common ground and discovering peaceful, win-win solutions for my clients. I am able to settle 90% of my litigation cases out of court. That is good for my clients and their children.
