I am based in Bristol, and spend most of my professional time photographing people for personal clients, and the press.

WEDDING
â?¢ You're making a lifetime commitment to your partner. You've gathered, for perhaps the one and only time, all the people closest to you in the world. Let's be honest: the last thing you want to be worrying about is whether the photographer is up to scratch.
â?¢ Well, you won't be worrying, because we'll already have met. We'll have talked about whether you're looking for natural, candid shots, something more formal, or a blend of the two. We'll even have discussed which members of your wedding party are the best to approach for helping gather guests for the group shots, and where they should stand!
â?¢ So, yes, planning is everything. And not only on the day: I give each assignment my complete attention, which means I'll have already visited the wedding and/or reception location, at the exact same time of day, to check the position of the sun. It's often the little details that make the biggest difference.

MUSIC Photography

â?¢ Music has always been one of my guiding passions. It was also my first love as a photographic subject, beginning in the live arena and swiftly moving on to both studio and location.

The live arena

â?¢ Every single gig is a unique, fleeting moment, and therein lies the thrill. Nothing beats trying to capture an evening of sound - the excitement, or melancholy, or sexuality, or mood of the crowd, or sheer thrilling performance - with a single moment of vision.

â?¢ I understand strict commissions and deadlines. You need eight images within an hour of the gig, all transferred from RAW to jpeg? That's what you'll get. Focus largely on the singer, but don't forget to throw in one or few wider angle crowd or location shots for colour? Coming right up.
