Introduction
Creating IT Futures Foundation is an IT Charity providing training and certification to under-represented populations in the IT workforce.
As the philanthropic arm of CompTIA, the Creating IT Futures Foundation provides educational, training and certification opportunities to those who are lacking opportunity and need an upwardly mobile career. We particularly encourage an IT path for populations that have traditionally have been under-represented in the information technology workforce, such as women and ethnic minorities.
The Creating IT Futures Foundation is registered as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization with the Internal Revenue Service.
The shortage of IT workers in the United States stands at about 300,000; there continues to be high demand for motivated and capable employees. It’s our job to help those in need to get the right IT training for an IT role — not just a job, but a foothold into a career.
To do this, Creating IT Futures solicits support from individuals, other foundations, government agencies and IT industry companies. Thanks to the invaluable support of our partners, we are placing people in family-sustaining work – and solving many of the problems facing our charitable system.
