Introduction
Cozy’s was established in 1932 and through many decades we have been the hub of Clinton. Locals come here to eat and visit with their neighbors. On any given night you will hear a story about someone’s grandparents and when they used to come in to Cozy’s. It is just one of those old local spots that just are not so common anymore. It is an everyone knows your name kind of place.
In 2006 Stephanie and Troy Cook purchased Cozy’s and combined the two have 45 years of restaurant experience. Stephanie’s family has lived on South Whidbey for five generations and was pleased to be a part of the Island’s history. The building, being so old, was a big job to take on. It is a slow progress in repairing and restoring Cozy’s but worth every minute. Each project gives such a feeling of pride.
The proud parents of a daughter, Allana, they wanted to take Cozy’s back in time, with a family orientated atmosphere. Many of the customers remember when Allana was six months old and Stephanie and Troy had just started their first restaurant, La Paz in 2000, also in Clinton. Not only has the community watched her grow, most have helped take care of her in her younger years growing up in the restaurant. Now Allana helps them with waiting on their tables and bussing. She is also in charge of making the kids menu. This is the apitemy of a small town. Clinton is a help your neighbor kind of place and we are all so proud to be a part of this.
