Introduction
LEARN TO SHOOT
We are a shooting school based in Connemara. We are located at the Ballynahinch Castle Hotel which is on the Roundstone road, just off the N59 between Recess and Clifden. The principal of this school, Shane Bisgood, has been teaching clients to shoot for 36 years, both in Ireland, Great Britain and extensively across America. He was originally trained by the famous Holland & Holland shooting school in London and then started his own school here in Ireland.
Whether Male or Female, whether you have never held a gun in your life before or you would like to compete at the highest levels of the sport, Shane has taught persons from rank novices to clients competing in the Olympics. We can cater for small or large groups.
We also teach Air Rifle and Rifle. Werner Cook who is a partner of Shane's has taught at the famous Bisley Range in Surrey and can introduce clients to the world of precision shooting.
Whether you have your own gun or not, we can supply you with any equipment necessary for your session here. Whether lady or gentleman, young teenager or elderly individual , we have many years experience in teaching.

Meet Our Team (2)
Shane Bisgood
Chief Instructor Shotgun and Rifle.
Trained in 1977-78 at the Holland & Holland Shooting School London. Started his own shooting school 1979 Wicklow, Ireland. Taught in 10 locations in the U.S.A. from 1990 to 2001. Started the Connemara Shooting School 2003.
Werner Cook
Rifle and Air Rifle specialist coach.
Trained RAF personnel at the Bisley Shooting Range in Surrey England. Joined Connemara Shooting School in 2012.
