Comprehensive Safety Audit – IS 14489

Safety Audit is management tool comprising of a systematic, periodic and objective evaluation of the Plant, Personnel and Processes, with the ultimate aim to safeguard human lives, environment and the company assets. Comprehensive Safety Audit encompasses all aspects of safety majorly covering the Safety Management System, Process Safety, Safety in Operations and Maintenance, Electrical Safety, Fire Prevention and Protection, Mechanical Safety and Emergency Management.
The Objectives of our Comprehensive Safety Audit are to:
• Verify compliance with established standards (Indian and International, as applicable)
• Identify unsafe act and unsafe conditions that can lead to an accident and significant losses
The comprehensive safety audit is based as per the framework provided by IS 14489 on "Code of Practice on Occupational Safety & Health Audit" and it aims to check compliance with the Factories Act and Rules, The Environmental Protection Act & Rules, the CEA Regulations, the Explosives Act & Rules, OISD standards and other Standards. Along with the standards, our auditor aim to identify the gaps with respect to good engineering practices.
