Introduction
Welcome to Coffey's Kitchen. We are a family run, family friendly restaurant, using the amazing local produce available in West Cork and Ireland to produce delicious dishes. We are passionate about using food that is seasonal and local wherever possible and our evening menus and daily specials are changed regularly to reflect this.
So who are the Coffeys? Well the Coffeys are Sarah and Steve. We are both originally from England, although Steve's father was Irish and he spent many years in Ireland during his youth. Steve has worked in kitchens since the tender age of 16 and has spent the last 20 years working in many different establishments. We moved to Ireland in 2010 and took on a 10 acre smallholding just outside Drimoleague. For us, the natural extension of the smallholding is a restaurant where we can use the products of the smallholding and bring real transparency to our customers. We are currently developing the smallholding, and hope to be providing some of the produce to the restaurant in the summer of 2011.
The canvases in the restaurant are all photos taken by Sarah and her daughter Sophie and depict the smallholding as well as local scenes from Schull, Ballydehob and Bantry.
