City Hall Restaurant

In the heart of Tribeca lies an 1863 landmark cast iron building surrounded by century old warehouses. This elegant, carefully restored building is City Hall Restaurant. Once home to the Lester Pinkus Shoe Corporation. The restaurant now exudes a timeless fee harkening to past geneerations of New Yorkers. City Hall's design is the result of collaboration between chef/proprietor Henry Meer and Architect Larry Bogdanow. Together, they succeeded in uniting tradition with innocation by combining the luxuries of the 21st century while honoring the customs of old New york.
Featured in many architectural magazines and periodicals, City Hall evokes the elegance and grace of days gone by. Soaring 20 foot ceilings, original cast iron columns and earth toned fabrics give City Hall a sense of sophistication and warmth. Surrounded by classic black and white photographs of Manhattan in the early 1900's, guests become transported to an era or history long forgotten. The tables, carved from solid Danish Pear wood are left bare to display the handiwork of local artisans. Gentle lighting flatters every inch of the restaurant.
