The now familiar brand of Chess Moves Removals was launched in 2005, with a simple remit: to offer a reliable, professional, stress free removal without charging sky high prices.

Although the old saying is true to an extent (“you get what you pay for”) we felt that there was a huge gap in the market between the often unreliable, inexperienced “man with a van service” and then right at the very top of the scale was the larger international companies who could quote many thousands of pounds.

With just 2 Luton vans, but a dedicated team of full time, uniformed removal men, Chess Moves Removals grew rapidly, inspiring many more middle market removal companies along the way. However after reaching levels requiring a fleet of vehicles and multiple removal crews, 2016 saw a change in direction for Chess Moves. We decided to downsize and only book 1 removal a day, meaning we could give our undivided attention to each and every customer, which in turn helped us maintain that premier, stress free service for what we are now synonymous with.
