We visited your 'Romper' restaurant on the 27/12/12. To say we had a poor experience is very much an understatement. The level of service offered to us was severely wanting. Indeed, despite Vicky's best attempts to make our visit as enjoyable as possible under the circumstances her female waitress colleague is in dire need of some customer service training.
However, poor service can be overlooked if the food we are served is good and wholesome but unfortunately that was far from the case. Whilst I understand that we are eating at 'competitive' prices that's no excuse for poor food. For example, my partner had the bubble and squeak starter, the egg on top was hard boiled when the idea of it in the first place is for the yoke to pour over the cabbage etc.
The mains were, well if I used the word 'sad' it would probably sum them up. I had the Mozzarella & Pesto burger - about as inspiring as a soggy sandwich, my partner the 9oz Rump steak - it was very dry and the chips on both dishes were overcooked.
Would I recommend your restaurant to my family, friends and colleagues - no is the only answer I could give, our experience was awful! The single star I have given if for the beer as it was served at the correct temperature, unlike my partners red wine which was served chilled.
