Challenge Paintball & Laser Skirmish

Challenge Paintball first opened in 1994 using Tippman Mk I and Mk II pump action markers and ran for several years with great success. The old pump action weapons were upgraded to semi automatic Tippmans in 1997 which allowed players much greater paintball1accuracy and a higher rate of fire without the need to pump each shot. In 1999 paintball across Victoria hit a brick wall with the State Government introducing law which made it illegal for anyone to play paintball unless they held a shooters licence. This resulted in paintball being put on hold for several years and led to the search for another way to allow the team building and military style games to continue. in 2003 Challenge Laser Skirmish was born with the first games commencing at Wallan. Laser skirmish quickly grew in popularity as it didn’t suffer from the legislative restrictions that paintball did which opened the game up to players of all ages.
