Cat & Fiddle

Kim and Paula Gardner met in New Orleans in 1973 while he was recording an album with Jackie Lomax and George Harrison. Paula at the time had the first and only vintage clothing store in the French Quarter. Kim Gardner (1948-2001) was an entertaining bass player and an integral part of the British Rock invasion of the 60s and 70s. After moving to Los Angeles in 1974, they got married and carried on with their own separate careers, music and fashion respectively. In 1982 when Paula was pregnant with twins, Kim decided to open a pub in Hollywood because there was none! Kim's dad always said 'That boy would do anything for a pint!� The first Cat and Fiddle was opened at 2100 Laurel Canyon Blvd. in 1982. Due to the overwhelming success, they where forced to move to a larger and more commercial location, 6530 Sunset Blvd�and the rest is history�
Eva Gardner, the eldest daughter, is continuing the tradition by touring the world and currently playing bass for 'Pink.�

Currently run by mother-daughter team ' Ashlee Gardner, a consultant, graduate of USC, and author of 'Entrepreneur Magazine's Great Big Book of Business lists� and her mother Paula Gardner, keep the Hollywood institution innovative, family run and fun!
