Callender Howorth

Headed by lead interior designer, Mark Howorth, Callender Howorth is a luxury interior design and interior architecture practice. They are a multi-discipline company founded in 1997. Their expertise ranges from building, designing, renovating and styling.

Working very closely with their clients, they seek to establish exactly what their needs, expectations and aspirations are with regard to the final result. The attributes of the building itself are also considered, particularly the level of natural light, which dictates a great many of the decisions such as the textures and colours used.

At the inception of a project a conversation between client and designer takes place where both parties can share their ideas in an open and friendly manner. If the clients have children or pets and how often they use certain rooms, entertain in them, etc. among other practical requirements are considered. In addition, any inspiration the clients have had for the look or overall feel of the project can be shown to the designer.

The design will then begin to distil the ideas using visual scrapbooks, site visits and palette ideas for building materials, fabrics and colours, until they condense into a design which will be depicted through sketches/illustrations, 3D models, elevations and computer generated walk-throughs. With this in place, the tendering process can start to ensure that high standard materials and services are purchased at the best prices.
