Introduction
Brands of Desire is an international brand consultancy founded in 2008 by Saurabh Uboweja. Headquartered in New Delhi, the company maintains its offices in India (Delhi - HQ, Mumbai, Lucknow) and Germany (Munich). Its work includes brand research, positioning, naming, brand architecture, brand identity design, digital experience design, retail experience design, communication design, marketing strategy and brand custodianship. In the year 2016, the organisation entered the online education industry, and launched Branding Institute with 10 international branding experts on board.
Led by Saurabh Uboweja (chief executive officer) and Sachin Kapoor (chief operating officer), Brands of Desire works with global companies and institutions across a wide range of sectors including healthcare, hospitality, software, telecommunication, technology, travel, financial services, manufacturing, retail, logistics, real estate, fashion, luxury, e-commerce, education and not for profit.
Saurabh joined Citigroup as an investment counselor in 2006. He left to set up his own company, Brands of Desire, in 2008.
In 2014, the consultancy won the Transform Europe Award 2014 jointly with HIRA Group and Tata Power DDL, respectively in the categories, "Best Brand Consolidation" (Bronze) and "Best external stakeholder relations during a rebrand" (Highly Commended).
Besides starting his own venture, Uboweja co-founded Credihealth.com, a medical assistance company in 2014 with serial entrepreneurs Ravi Virmani and Gaurav Gaggar. He presently serves as a Director of the company.[4]
He is also a founding member of the World Communication Forum Association registered as a non-profit association in Davos, Switzerland and a member of their executive committee since 2015.
Uboweja is currently a Visiting Professor at Indian Institute of Management Bodh Gaya (IIM-BG) and teaches strategic brand management.
