We are a company offering bird watching tours of the region. Established in 2012, we provide a high quality service offering clients the opportunity to observe the wide variety of birds in the area, either from the tours we have planned or as part of a tailor made excursion of your choice. From huge Griffon Vultures and majestic Spanish Imperial Eagles to the colourful Bee-eaters, Shrikes, and the Great Bustard flocks on the Alentejo plains, we also showcase the region's wonderful heritage and history as well as introducing you to the incredible foods and wines that are specialities of the area.

Jorge Safara
CEO Birdwatch in Alentejo
Jorge is a long time birdwatcher and also an amateur photographer specialized in birds and wildlife. Participated actively in the creation and development of activities in an NGO based in Évora, south of Portugal, dedicated to the preservation of birds and their habitats. Recently he decided to start his work as a nature and birdwatching guide in order to share the rich natural, gastronomic and cultural heritage of the Alentejo region.
