Introduction
Bike Virginia is a state-wide non-profit focused on improving Virginia through cycling initiatives. Helping support healthy, active living, the organization holds events, does advocacy, offer education, and gives grants. Each year the organization hosts a bicycle tour, supporting tourism for Virginia totaling more than $2 million dollars. Bike Virginia is founder of the Ride Guide website, a portal for all things related to cycling across the state of Virginia. Bike Virginia has a staff of 5 and works with over 200 volunteers a year. In 2015 the organization will host their annual tour plus a second event in celebration of the UCI world Cycling Championship races coming to the US.
