I took a few different career paths before finally ending up in culinary school for Baking & Pastry. The morning of my final practical exam we found out that we were going to have baby #3 and my plans to join the workforce were negated by the cost of childcare. ​Two years later, we finally decided as a family that selling cupcakes and cookies from home would be the best plan for a supplemental income for our family of 5. It's not the final destination of my long-term dreams or goals, but it's the next big step in that direction and I couldn't be more excited about this opportunity.
