Awland Safaris

Born in Kenya and raised in Uganda, Albert is passionate about Africa and its diversity of cultures.
Albert graduated at Makerere University with a Bachelors degree in Tourism and has travelled extensively in the region to familiarize himself with the Tourism services and products in the region - East Africa.
His earlier career involved working with Sheraton Kampala Hotel in Uganda, later he relocated to Kenya where he briefly worked in Mombasa. Finally, he relocated to Tanzania where he worked for various Travel Agents as a marketing and sales consultant. It was here in Tanzania that Awland Safaris, a long time dream, materialized.
When not in office, Albert will be travelling in the region meeting new people and making friends

Known to many as Kifa, a short form of kifaranga (Swahili word for a chick), Francesca is our financial advisor. She was born and raised close to Stuttgart, Germany. Francesca made her first trip to Tanzania way back in 2009 as a short-time volunteer. It was then that she was hit by the “Tanzania bug”, and she decided to come back after her graduation from Secondary School. She lived and worked as a volunteer in Arusha, North Tanzania, for more than a year and therefore has a wide knowledge about Tanzanian local life and culture. After her time in Arusha, she couldn’t stop coming back to Tanzania whenever opportunity presented itself. It was during one of her frequent trips back in 2011 that we met Francesca and straight away included her into our team.
Francesca is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Education at the Ravensburg University and is updated with the day to day activities at Awland safaris. She brings in a rich wealth of financial knowledge boosted by her good understanding of Tanzania. Francesca speaks three languages, German, English and amazing and fluent Swahili. Her most memorable experience was when she spotted a pack of wild dogs hunting down a wildebeest, “the way they communicated and coordinated in the hunt was just amazing” - Francesca.
Favourite Destination: The Ngorongoro Crater

Beatrice is Albert’s sibling. Born and raised in Uganda, Beatrice started her carrier at Awland safaris immediately after attaining her bachelor’s degree in Environment Management at the Makerere University in Uganda. She is currently our marketing and sales consultant. Her love for the environment was the driving force toward her decision to join Tourism where her passion has steadily developed.
