Thank you for taking the time to learn a little bit about me! My name is Ashley, I am a mom, wife, teacher, and photographer. I am fully licensed and insured for the state of Washington. Additionally, I am a proud member of the International Association of Professional Birth Photographers. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Western Washington University and a Master’s Degree from Concordia University in Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction: Mathematics.
My husband and I have a seven-year-old boy, three-year-old boy, and one year-old girl. I love all things crafty, reading, working out (if I have time), continuing my education and of course photography! I can easily get lost looking through pins on Pinterest. You’ll always find dark chocolate in my kitchen and a vanilla coconut milk latté in my hand. Most of all, I love being outside playing in the sun with my husband and kids. Since we live in the pacific northwest, sometimes we have to put on rain boots and stomp in the puddles instead…
Photography quickly became a love and passion of mine after having our third child and starting a hair accessory business. I learned that I needed to create eye candy images for my audience. I didn’t stop with lifestyle brand photography though, I wanted to learn more! I fell head over heels with capturing the light that gets caught in one’s eye. There is something so beautiful about a picture that captures light and love all at one time. Throughout my photography journey, I have found to appreciate the small details of life. I look at people from new angles and focus on their beauty. Birth photography is a great example of this. There is nothing more powerful and emotion filled, than witnessing and capturing life entering this world.
Currently, I live in Bremerton, Washington. The majority of my photography takes place in Kitsap County, but I am available for travel. I love to visit new places and explore new areas to photograph.
