These expeditions are designed to bring curious, like-minded travelers together for the ultimate wildlife encounters and cultural exchanges. Some of our favorite adventures include Namibia wildlife safaris to explore the unparalleled natural beauty, Raja Ampat diving and snorkeling liveaboards to discover the rich marine biodiversity of the Coral Triangle, and expeditions to Madagascar to encounter the fascinating lemurs, geckos and vibrantly colored chameleons.

Our Team
Established in 2014, Apex Expeditions has one of the most experienced teams of field leaders in the expedition travel business. Our field guides are recognized experts in their respective fields with an unrivalled appetite and passion to share with you the excitement and magic that abounds in each and every day of travel, be it watching Blue Whales in southern Chile or sitting next to a Lowland Gorilla in the Congo. A colorful and varied assortment of adventurers, ornithologists, explorers and naturalists, the Apex team has only one mission and that is to deliver the very best travel experience possible.
Prior to starting Apex Expeditions, we have respectively either founded or worked for several other successful expedition tour operators throughout the world. A colorful assortment of interests, backgrounds and accomplishments, we are marine biologists, medical doctors, artists, authors, photographers, scuba divers, birders, conservationists, and screenwriters—to name a few! One of us has cross-country skied to the South Pole. Another one of us has even discovered a new species, is a Member of the British Empire by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, and was honored with the Conservation Gold Medal Award by Royal Society for the Protection of Birds.
