I practice criminal defense law in Fort Worth, Texas. I work primarily in Tarrant County, but also Parker and Dallas Counties. My practice focuses on criminal defense and DWI defense. I defend people who are charged with misdemeanors as well as felonies. people who are charged and accused of all crimes, including assault, drugs charges, white collar crimes, and theft, just to mention a few.
An arrest can turn someone upside down. Anyone who is facing legal action from the government deserves a lawyer who takes defending people and fighting for my clients as seriously as I do. Getting arrested and charged with a crime can strike deep fear into a person. It can deeply disrupt lives and families. I know what the stakes are when you get arrested and told to hire a lawyer and go to court. The government is coming after you. Many of my clients are embarrassed and regretful about what often amounts to a mistake or a misunderstanding. The criminal process exposes people. It can be a hurricane that leaves families financially and emotionally vulnerable and searching for answers. You want to hire a lawyer who is very effective at getting results. You want a lawyer who will communicate with you and walk you through a process that can be very daunting. It can be equally confusing to people, especially if getting arrested and charged with a crime is unfamiliar to you. Honestly, the process is foreign to most people. Most people that I talk to who have been charged with a crime are not criminals. Instead they are citizens who either made a mistake, or are facing criminal charges because of a misunderstanding.
Many people call me or come to my office and tell me that they don’t believe the charges they are facing. I look them in the eye and tell them that I will take it to the jury. That is what I do. I am a trial lawyer. Many lawyers will look to plea a case first. That is not my philosophy. I believe that is not the way to get the best results. Whenever I first meet a client, I always project the case forward to a potential jury trial, and go over the closing argument in my head. In my experience, that is the only way to get great results consistently. If you are facing criminal charge, you need a lawyer who is not only an effective negotiator, but an effective trial lawyer.
