ALAN TOURS, with experience forged under the fun filled African sun, is proud to promote Port Elizabeth, the Eastern Cape and South Africa, a country and an area which is home to our unique Big 7 Safaris, unsurpassed beauty and the incredible diversity of our nature, wildlife and cultures.
Expanding our horizons we can now include some of the most spectacular destination on the African continent in Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Cameroon and Ethiopia to name some. We take on the vast Wildebeest migration of the Masai Mara and Serengeti plains, the resonant history and Mountain plateaus of Ethiopia and the endangered Mountain Gorillas of the Volcanic peaks in Uganda or join an authentic hunt in the primeval Central West Africa tropical forests with the Pygmies as they searching for their next meal.
Our tours are conducted by qualified nature and culture guides who emphasise all aspects of our amazing country, providing an informative view into the modern and ancient cultures and the historical context that is the colourful pallet of our country, South Africa today.

Alan Fogarty
Owner and nature Guide
Always a free spirit, Alan embarked on his own enterprise and offers tourists the wealth of his accumulated knowledge and know-how spanning more than 30 years in the wilds of Southern Africa. He is a qualified level three F.G.A.S.A.[Field Guides Association of Southern Africa] Tour Guide and a Specialist African wildlife nature guide with further qualifications having been obtained in Zambia and Mozambique.
His interests are wide and varied, Birds, Botany and Bushman paintings. Mammal, Reptiles and more recently South Africa's Cultural heritage, inspired by the myriad of ruins in the Limpopo river valley as well as the colonial history of the Eastern Cape with special emphasis on the tribal Xhosa and their leadership during a difficult era.
